MEET TODAY’S GUEST
Michelle Sapphire
Michelle Sapphire is the Founder and Publisher of Kinkova, a community and platform dedicated to aesthetic refinement and empowered self-expression. A self-described "paradox," Michelle balances a naturally reserved persona with an unapologetically bold online presence.
Her mission is to transition the gender-fluid community from the shadows to the spotlight, blending high-fashion sensibilities with kinky, intelligent banter.

Before we begin, a word of gratitude.
To everyone who believed in Kinkova from day one, you know who you are! Thank you. Your support made Kinkova possible.
To those just discovering us: welcome. This interview series is just the beginning.
I have ambitious plans for Kinkova, and with your continued engagement, we'll build something extraordinary together. As they say: watch this space!
THE INTERVIEW
Who is Michelle Sappire?
Michelle has always existed within me, but only recently found her voice and her community. The support has been overwhelming, frankly. I'm naturally reserved in person, which surprises people. Online, though? I'm unapologetically bold. The comment sections across platforms have become my playground, and I thrive on the kinky, intelligent banter with my followers. You know who you are. Consider this fair warning: I'm coming for you again soon.
Kinkova feels like a secret world. What does it actually mean and why is it important for you to build this for our community?
Kinkova merges 'kink' with 'nova' the Latin singular of 'novus,' meaning new. In astronomy, a nova is a previously inconspicuous star that suddenly blazes to life. That resonated deeply. I've always been kinky, but I only recently started to shine. Now, I want to turn that spotlight onto others in our community to inspire people to embrace their desires, their authentic selves. We have one life. Why hide what brings us joy?
That said, I understand the hesitation. Many people fear judgment, exposure, or worse stumbling into unsafe online spaces. Kinkova aims to be different: a platform that's sophisticated, respectful, and free from creeps. If I can build something bigger than myself, something that sparks real change, however small, then Michelle Sapphire will have mattered.
Michelle is permission I've given myself to be feisty, sexual, and unapologetic.
You’ve mentioned previously online that 'shy males often become confident ladies.' Looking back at your first post, how much has your definition of 'confidence' changed?
Full credit goes to Jeanne Pink, founder of BoobsShop. She's the one who said it first, and brilliantly. (Check her out; she's stunning.) But she's right: shy men often become confident women.
As for my own journey? Approaching 1,000 followers has been surreal. Not because of the number itself, but because of what it represents, real conversations, genuine connections, support from people who get it. That's what builds confidence. Not vanity metrics, but the late-night DMs, the thoughtful comments, the sense that I'm not alone in this. It makes me eager to dress up again, to create more content, to keep this conversation going.
Shy men often become confident women.
The golden dress, the black wig, the glasses, your aesthetic is very intentional. Is Kinkova a character you play, or is it the most honest version of yourself?
Michelle is both a character and the truest version of myself paradoxical, I know. She's not a costume I wear; she's permission I've given myself. Permission to be feisty, sexual, confident, unapologetic. Everything I post is authentic. I don't perform for you; I share with you. So perhaps it's fairest to say: Michelle is who I've always been, finally allowed to exist without apology.
What is the biggest misconception people have about you when they first see your photos?
That I'm effortlessly confident. I'm not, not yet, anyway. I project confidence because that's who I'm becoming, but behind every photo is practice, doubt, and learning. There's so much I haven't mastered, both aesthetically and sexually. I'm transparent about that.
The other misconception? That my online persona translates to bedroom expertise. I'm good, I've had no complaints, but I'm also endlessly curious. There's a universe of experiences I haven't explored yet, and frankly, I can't wait.
I project confidence because that’s who I’m becoming, but behind every photo is practice, doubt and learning.
If you could go back and whisper one thing to your 'shy' self before this journey started, what would it be?
Tell the people you love who you really are, as early as you can bear it. Yes, it's terrifying. But the alternative. suppressing your authentic self, does far more damage to you and everyone around you. I've experienced the relief of being honest with my loved ones, and their support changed everything.
Not everyone will have that experience, I know. But even so: don't waste your finite time on this earth pretending to be someone you're not. Embrace your kinks. Be your true self. You don't get these years back.
Embrace your kinks. Be your true self. You don't get these years back.
Before we close, if Kinkova becomes everything you hope, what's the one thing you'd do with that platform that no one would expect?
Partner with a major fashion house. Hear me out: the crossdressing, trans, and gender-fluid communities have incredible style, creativity, and purchasing power. Yet mainstream fashion largely ignores us or tokenizes us. I want Kinkova to become influential enough that brands come to us for collaboration, not for performative pride campaigns, but because we're tastemakers. Imagine a Kinkova x [luxury brand] capsule collection.
Imagine our community being courted by Vogue itself. That's the endgame: not just acceptance, but influence.
That's the endgame: not just acceptance, but influence.
Thank you so much, any final words?
This is just the beginning. Kinkova will evolve based on your feedback, your stories, your participation. I'm here for the long haul, and I hope you are too. Together, we'll build something that matters.
Until next time,
Michelle
