THE INTERVIEW

If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of advice about this journey, what would it be?

Forget your prejudices and do it if you feel like it. Don't be too hard on yourself. Try to accept yourself as you are and dare to experiment.

Describe your signature style in three words.

Elegant, sexy and youthful.

Forget your prejudices and do it if you feel like it. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

What's the most challenging aspect of presenting feminine? What comes most naturally?

The hardest part is achieving a figure with some feminine curves, and creating believable, natural-looking breasts, since I don't like the overly exaggerated ones. I also find it difficult to feminize my voice. On the other hand, my long, not at all muscular legs and a slender, completely hairless body make feminization easier.

When you're dressed, do you feel like a different person or more authentically yourself?

I don't think I feel completely like a different person, but the moment I'm dressed up as Xandra, my attitude, my pose, my gestures... change completely and I feel totally feminine, as if I were trans.

How has the online crossdressing/trans community impacted your journey?

I'm primarily a closeted crossdresser, because I can't fully come out in my social circle. The online crossdresser/trans community has allowed me to show myself to the world and connect with other amazing people in this world, with similar tastes, or with professional makeup artists I wouldn't have met otherwise.

Being a crossdresser allows me to break out of my daily routine and express myself through fashion as I please, without as many restrictions as I have in my male life.

How does crossdressing intersect with your sexuality? Are they connected or separate?

Personally, I do think it's connected. I always thought I was straight, but crossdressing has made me see sexuality in a more open way, and I'm probably more flexible in that respect now, even bisexual to some extent. What came first? I’m not sure.

What's one product, hack, or piece of advice every crossdresser should know?

Try your best to learn how to do your own makeup. Don't expect it to be perfect from day one; have fun, look for information (courses, online tutorials, advice from other cross... we've never had so many resources) and you'll gradually improve and enjoy crossdressing even more.

If you could be dressed full-time with zero consequences, would you?

Not full-time but probably more than half of the time, for sure.

Rapid fire!

Coffee or wine?

Wine

Daytime glam or evening seduction?

Evening seduction

Heels or flats?

Heels, always

Lipstick shade you're wearing right now (or wish you were)?

Ruby Woo by MAC

If you could leave readers with one image, feeling, or thought about crossdressing, what would it be?

Being a crossdresser allows me to break out of my daily routine and express myself through fashion as I please, without as many restrictions as I have in my male life.
